What is a SWISS•TRAC?

The SWISS•TRAC is a small, efficient wheelchair power unit, which can be connected quickly to the wheelchair. It pulls the wheelchair user in urban and rural surroundings as if it is the most natural thing.
A SWISS-TRAC can be used not only on pavements and in pedestrian areas, but also on nature trails, in meadows and woodlands. A day out at the zoo, a visit to a large exhibition or a shopping centre is a pleasure.
How can I clear obstacles with the SWISS•TRAC?
With the SWISS•TRAC you can clear obstacles on your own, be it curbs, cobble stones, steep ramps, etc.. With the SWISS•TRAC you raise the frontwheels of your wheelchair which gives you a smoother ride. How does a SWISS•TRAC connect to a wheelchair?
Who can use a SWISS•TRAC?
The SWISS•TRAC is suitable for all wheelchairs users, who can manually propel their wheelchair and handle the SWISS•TRAC steering.
Quadriplegics up to lesion level C5/6 as well as children from 7 years up can also handle a SWISS•TRAC easily. A trial run is recommended for wheelchair users with high lesion levels. Just click on and drive away...!
For which wheelchairs is SWISS•TRAC suitable?
Brackets are available for most active wheelchairs, for foldable as well as non-foldable (rigid frame) chairs.With foldable chairs the bracket can be removed without tools.

How can I transport a SWISS•TRAC?
Thanks to the rotating steering column you can load the SWISS•TRAC on your own into a station wagon. Loading ramps are included in the delivery.The parking brake guarantees a safe journey in the car boot. Enjoy your independence in your holidays: take the SWISS•TRAC with you when travelling abroad by plane. Most airlines transport it free of charge. Ask your dealer about a battery confirmation. A battery charger for 110 Volt can be obtained from your dealer.

The SWISS•TRAC was developped in close cooperation with wheelchair users by ATEC Engineering Ltd. in Kuessnacht, Switzerland. The wheelchair towing tractor is a high quality product which complies with all the current safety standards. The SWISS•TRAC is produced in Switzerland and it is available at authorized specialist dealers.
